Another Update

Since we talked last, I had just moved into my toddler bed...still going well. Now days we have moved into Fall. You know what that means?!
Here I am as a scarecrow...not so scary.

Now that is scary!

It was a pretty warm Fall, so we did a lot of playing in the park:

And, in my backyard:
Here I am, pushing my BFF Abby in the swing!

It's also the season for baking:
Big Helper Madeline! Look at me go! I think that's a nervous smile on Mommy's face.

Fall is coming to an end and it's almost Christmas time!!:
Decorating the tree!

Decorating Me!

And watching the lights do their job!

Did I mention, it's the season for baking?!?!

Big Helper

It's been a while since you have seen me...I know, talk to my Mommy....Anyways, since my last post there have been some changes....I've kind of turned into a 'big girl'.

I've been helping out around the kitchen more:

Helping Daddy with the plumbing:

Picking up Daddy's shoes when he leaves them out:

....and I helped my Daddy put together my....

That's right folks...I'm officially NOT a baby anymore!!
(Mommy is tearing up...)

So there I was....doing my thing, getting ready for beddy. All 3 of us in my room and Mommy changing my diaper. 'What's this? A dry diaper? That's strange!' My Mama exclaims. That's right, I hadn't filled my diaper over a long period of time. Mommy asked me the same question she has often asked over the last month; 'Do you want to potty in the big girl potty?'....BUT WAIT...what's that feeling?....uh, I feel I better get up and make way to the bathroom, or we are going to be using up a bottle of Resolve in my room! Daddy walks me to the big girl potty and to their....and my suprise.....a sound of running water echos in the otherwise quiet room!

I PEED!!!!
It was like the clouds opened up and the angels started singing...well, maybe that was just Mommy and Daddy giving me big cheers and claps. I got a sticker too! Somehow I feel this 'using the big girl potty' can work to my advantage...but, for now, I am sticking with the diapers. We'll see how long it takes before I'm all set to go for sure.

...besides...I didn't know work was involved! Here I am dumping my 'yellow stuff' down the giant 'icky' thing that mommy doesn't let me touch otherwise.

Quality Time

One of my and Daddy's favorite things to do together is sit at the computer and listen to Coldplay...they my jam!

Mommy learned that their are certain things that have too much sugar in them for me...I believe it is 10p.m. in this pic...watching Ice Age trying to relax.

Daddy can't help but to SQUEEZE me all the time...I let him...

Lovin' Mommy reading Barney...

But...Mommy reading Barney while wearing my shorts on her head...priceless!

Obey God!

I got some great stuff at our church retreat a couple of weeks ago. Some of it included a cool sword and helmet! This is my armour to protect me from bad things.

BUT, I'm more of an offensive player than a defensive player....

(Daddy might have regreted showing me how to spank my baby doll....Maddie see, Maddie do!)

p.s. Mommy is still trying to get the video to upload so you can see me using my sword on Daddy and telling him to obey.

So, I have this little fetish with lotion...I LOVE IT! So much, that I often find my mommy's face lotion and proceed to rub it all over my one likes itchy dry skin, right? Well, I can't resist the temptation time and time again....and time and time again, I get BUSTED!

Mommy takes me to the bathroom to wash me up, but for some reason I just can't help to want to keep rubbing the lotion on my silky smooth!
I even managed to get some of the 'face' lotion on my face! Luckily I got a bath out of this whole thing, so it was worth the time out I got! :) (Ain't I a stinka?!)

Backyard Fun!

Oh, what the summer time brings! Lots of new things to do outside! My mommy got all this cool stuff....she says it's from some place called, 'Raytown Neighborhood Curbside Trash'.

Whatev! I just enjoy playing with it all in my backyard!

First, I got a cool tricycle! Daddy's oilin' it up for first with my coooool helmet!
Then, I played in my new wagon! Check it out...I have a door!
I don't do so well pulling it myself, but Daddy enjoys taking me on tours around my yard....I had no idea that all of those brown blobs all over our yard came from Red Dog! Learn something new every day!
Then, I got this slide...which is probably the COOLEST THING EVER! Mom even lets me take it inside when I can't slide outside. I've learned lots of tricks on it, like wearing socks or sitting on a towel will make me slide faster...thanks Dad!
I can even climb the ladder all by myself!
Then, there is my swing...which has been in our family for almost 20 years!! It's about time I got to use it a little...thanks Great Grandma, Poppy and Daddy!
I love playing outside!

Water Fun

Mommy got this COOL sprinkler......well...
I didn't think so at first!

I had to keep my distance!

But, eventually I warmed up to being spat on by a toy with REALLY COLD hose water.
Then, Mommy got me a pool to enjoy over the 'not so warm' 4th of July!

I loved the Hippo spitting water on me as I went down the slide....seriously, what's up with the spitting toys?!

I had SO much fun in this pool, that I enjoyed it with my clothes on too!

Full Sentences

I've been working really really hard to be polite when I want something...ya know...'Please' and 'Thank you'. But, now Mom's got me on 'full sentence' duty!

Happy Daddy's Day!

This year, Mommy let me make Daddy's card.
I glued on a picture that Daddy and I colored together the day before...
...and glued some more...
(this stuff was kind of weird; looked like milk, but it was sticky and smelled funny. I didn't even think to taste it...yuck!)
...a little sparkle here, a little finger paint there, and....

My card was ready to go! It was important to make it ever so special...because as I'm sure you all know....he IS the WORLD'S GREATEST DAD!
(love you dad!)

Planes, Family and The Beach!

God always has a way of turning sad things into happy things. My Great-Grandpa Bob passed away a couple weeks ago from cancer. BUT, right before he did, his brother, Great-Grandpa Joe (it's complicated) got a chance to show him from God's Word what it meant to be saved. Mom says sometimes when we are the saddest or at the bottom of the barrel (whatever that means), that's when we see our need for God to live in our hearts. That's what it took for Great-Grandpa Bob to realize his need for his Saviour. PRAISE GOD for his new body that doesn't ache anymore, and his eternal life in Heaven!!
So that being said....I got to go to FLORIDA last week! Holy Moly did Mom and I have fun! She was kind of scared taking me by myself, but dad had to work....we sure missed him a lot!!
We were up bright and early to catch our flight. Mom booked seats way in the back of the plane so I wouldn't bother anyone....I think the flight attendant in this picture was a little more than annoyed...oh well, gimme a banana and put me in the air....I was ready to fly!
I think I can see my house from up here....yup....HI DADDY! (and yes, that's a box of raisins hanging from my mouth)
This is the very tiny plane we took from Tennessee to was a little smaller than mom had hoped for. Dad was jealous he didn't get to fly on it. I LOVED it because we got to move to the back row...that's right, I said row! 3 empty chairs just for us!
Once we got into Florida, it was a rainy day, so we spent most of our time inside hanging with the fam. Fine by me!...all of the unexplored territory and animals to harass! (btw-I offended the cat and the dog and got yelped at and scratched...I don't know what their problem was! All of the sudden it's a crime to pat really hard and pull fur?!...hmmm)
HOLD THE PHONE! They had a slot machine!!!! I was all over that like stink on my poop! I had to fight Uncle Gary to push the buttons.
After a long first day, my cousin Elby (Shelby) and I took a bath...we couldn't wait to splash in the pool!!!
We didn't have to wait much longer! The next day we were all greased up with sunblock and ready to go. Here is my cousin Josephine and Elby (Shelby)
Here I am looking sooo cool...I belong at a pool!
Here's Elby and I with Aunt Lizzy and Papi. I tried drinking some of the water...I think I prefer milk!

And...Here I am at the beach...oh yea, that's the ocean. What's that? Why am I not in a swimming suit?'ll see later.

Instead, I had a lot of fun burying my feet...

and letting the water touch my toes....only my toes....JUST my toes!....
...and picking up seashells. I got a lot of really cool ones!
Ok...what I am about to show you would keep even you out of the water! My family was fishing on this beach. For what, you ask?

SHARKS!!! What, you can't see it? Scroll to the next picture...

Yeah, it may be a baby shark, but that means a momma was close by!! Oh, that's not it....keep going!

Stingray!!!! Yeah, it may be a baby too, but again...I didn't want to find it's mama!...where's my mama?!
Uncle Bobby caught crabs while catching bait...not sure why everyone kept repeating that, and laughing....hmm...grown-ups...
All in all it was a beautiful day hanging with my family!
There was just one person missing...
